Cultural Syncretism – The blending of two or more cultures to form a new, unique cultural trait (for example, mixing Indigenous, African, and European traditions)
Sense of Place – The feelings, meanings, and identity people attach to a specific location, often shaped by culture, history, and personal experience
Cultural Diffusion – The spread of cultural beliefs, traits, or practices from one group or area to another through migration, trade, or other contact.
Cultural Identity – A person’s or group’s sense of belonging to a culture, shown through shared traits like language, religion, or traditions.
Acculturation – The process of adopting some traits of another culture while keeping one’s original culture.
Cultural Convergence – When different cultures become more alike due to sharing ideas, technologies, or behaviors.
Ethnic Patterns – The distribution and organization of ethnic groups in a region.
Cultural Diversity – The variety of cultures, languages, and traditions that exist within a place or society.
Placemaking – The process by which people give meaning and identity to a place through shared experiences, symbols, and activities.
