You are a biologist studying lizards on a remote island in the Caribbean. In the first 10 years of the study, resources were abundant and there were very few deaths. At year 11, there was a disease that hit the island that killed 50% of the flies that the lizards ate. You collected the following data over the 20 years of your study.

(DCI) Explain what advantageous heritable trait means in the context of these lizards?

(CCC) What patterns do you see in the traits of the lizards over time?

(SEP) Analyze the data to answer the question. What happened to the short tongue lizards half way through the study?
