Lab: Catalase enzyme activity

Question 1

Essay

Now that you have completed the catalase enzyme lab, you will choose one experiment (substrate concentration, temperature, or pH) and write about your results. You must write in CER format using the following prompts:

Claim: In one sentence, tell the results of the experiment. Do not tell me WHY it happened--you'll get to that later.

Evidence: In 4-6 sentences, explain the experiment. What did you do? Tell me about the procedure. What were your results? Be sure to include measurements to back up your claim.

Reasoning: Finally, in 2-3 sentences explain WHY one experimental group may have done better than another. Be sure to tell me what's happening to the enzyme under these conditions.
