Names and naming are significant aspects of character development and thematic exploration in literature. In many literary works, characters' names hold symbolic importance.

Choose a work of fiction, either from your own reading or from the list below, in which character names are central to the narrative. Then, in a well-developed essay, analyze how the use of names contributes to an interpretation of the work as a whole. Avoid plot summaries.
