Question 1
Write a group argumentative essay that addresses a problem and proposes a solution to that problem. Follow the TIDE or TIDDIDDE structure in each paragraph. Only use TIDE for the first paragraph. Address the following elements in your writing:
- Defining the Problem and Thesis (Argumentative Claim)
- Context: Why is it a problem and what caused it? Background information.
- Who is it a problem for?: Who are the affected parties and how does it affect them?
- Solution: What is a concrete, actionable solution that people are or have been trying?
- Implications of the Solution: What good will the solution do? How does it successfully fix all or part of the problem?
- Limitations of the Solution: What are the problems with the solution? What parts of the problem won’t it fix? What are the challenges to implementing this solution?
- Conclusion/Call to Action: What is the point? What steps can people take to support the solution? Why should people care even though they may not be affected directly by the problem?
Your submission should also include your APA format works cited, and at least two direct quotes for each paragraph except the first. Properly cite each quote, and introduce each source.
