Conventions in Narrative Writing Practice (ELD)

This assignment will help you practice important writing conventions for narrative writing. For each concept, answer a multiple-choice question and then complete a short practice activity. Focus on using correct grammar, capitalization, punctuation, and spelling.

Far away, a giant shadow shifts, building tension about what might be watching. The scene blends wonder with danger and sets up a mystery to be explored.
