Essay
  • Historians agree that the Roman Empire did not fall for just one reason. However, some causes were more important than others. Write a short C.E.R. essay that answers the question: What was the PRIMARY reason for the fall of Rome?
  • Your essay must include an introduction, a chunky body paragraph that clearly defends your claim, and a closing sentence restating your claim.
  • You may use your Background Essay (p3), Documents ABCDEF (p5-11)
  • Choose ONE main reason (political instability, military problems, legal injustice/corruption, invasion or migration, or natural disasters).
  • Use and cite 2+ different documents
  • Include 3+ different facts
