Elemental Fire Lab Report Introduction

The purpose of this practice is to get you familiar with the level of introduction that is expected from a 10th grader. You will be expected to use you notes as reference, but also to do additional research in order to fully explain the concepts (it is OK to veer away from the page to do this research). It is expected that you are able to cover all the topics as well as write in a fluid manner with proper grammar and spelling.

In this assignment, you will write the introduction for a chemistry lab report based on the elemental fire lab. Your introduction should include a clear statement of the purpose of the lab as well as background information about:

1. The light spectrum and it's energy
2. Photons
3. Ground state and excited state electrons
4. Unique color signature of each element.

Additionally, provide a real-world example of how this phenomenon is utilized in industry or everyday life. Use appropriate scientific vocabulary throughout your introduction.
