After a long day of work, Sam decides to unwind by watching a movie at home. During the movie, he notices that the main character, a detective, is trying to solve a case involving a series of mysterious events. The detective starts to experience vivid dreams that seem to provide clues to the case. As the movie progresses, the detective becomes more and more invested in solving the case, even though it puts him in dangerous situations. Later in the movie, the detective discovers that the person responsible for the mysterious events is someone he trusted and admired. He struggles with the decision to turn in the criminal and decides not to. Meanwhile, the detective starts to experience changes in his appetite and sleep patterns.
