AP Success - AP Psychology: Studying for Final Exams (Units 3, 4, 5, 9)
Explain how each of the following concepts relates to this scenario.
Samantha is a high school student who is studying for her final exams. She walks into the library and is so focused that she fails to see the Christmas decorations that librarians put up the preivous day. Sitting at a table, she organizes her biology vocabulary flashcards by topic and begins to memorize them. This strategy makes it so much easier to memorize the vocabulary! Seeing the vocabulary words over and over again makes her like biology more and more. Later, Samantha's teacher decides to reward students who can answer questions correctly during the review session with extra credit points. Samantha finds herself remembering more information during this session than when she was studying alone.
