Jeffrey Ellis-Lee

Mr. Jeffrey Allan Ellis-Lee is a 30 year veteran social studies and literacy teacher in the New York City Public Schools as well as the 2016 Excelsior State History Teacher of the Year. Ellis-Lee has been the Advanced Placement National Lead Advocate since 2015. While at the Maxine Greene High School for Imaginative Inquiry he has developed a unique two year course focused on American Studies. The course was strengthened by his participation in Literacy and American Studies coursework at Columbia University Teachers College. Ellis-Lee is the recipient of the United Federation of Teachers Excellence in Teaching Award and works as a national scorer of AP Exams for the College Board.
