Urban Education Research Project

The purpose of this research assignment is to give you an opportunity to think, explore in-depth, and learn about a topic of your choice, related to urban education. Your research topic may come from reading the textbook and provided journal article, watching films, taking field trips, participating in weekly field experience, or your class discussions. Throughout this course, think about your learning and ask yourself: What topics are important to me and why? What problems or issues impact my school? What do I want to learn more about? Your answers may help you decide upon a topic or two of interest. With your potential research topics, other important questions to consider include: What possible solutions or suggestions can you offer? What can you DO about it? During this class, you will be exploring topics together as a class, and generating possible research ideas and questions.
