Essay Prompt: Talking About Yourself

Write an essay where you tell us about yourself. Start by sharing your first name, last name, how old you are, and when your birthday is. Tell us the name of your school, what grade you're in, and which subjects you like the most at school. Talk about what you enjoy doing in your free time and the things you really care about. Think about what kind of person you are. Write about what you think you're like and what your friends, family, or teachers would say about you. Make sure to answer some of these questions: - What school subjects do you love the most and why do you like them? - What hobbies or interests do you have, and why do they interest you? - What things do you care about a lot, and how do they affect your life or what you want to do in the future? - What words would you use to describe your personality? - What would others say about you, and do you think they are right? Use sentences that start with these phrases to help you write your essay: - "I am interested in..." - "I am into..." - "I like..." - "My favourite subjects are..." - "I think I am..." - "My friends/parents/teachers say I am..." Be sure to give examples or tell little stories to make your points clear and to show more about who you are. Your essay should help the reader get to know you better.
