AP English Language Final Essay: The Absolute Best or Worst Fictional Character
For your final essay, you are to pick a character from stories, movies, manga, or anime who you think is either the absolute best or the absolute worst. You will write an essay arguing your point, using examples from the source material to support your argument.
Question 1
Write an essay (at least four paragraphs: introduction, two body paragraphs, and conclusion) in which you choose ONE of the following options:
Option 1: The Absolute Best FICTIONAL Character Think about a character who you think is just amazing! They could be brave, smart, funny, or maybe they just have this special something that makes them stand out. Write an essay explaining why you believe this character is the absolute best in their genre. Dive into their personality, actions, and how they affect the story. Use examples from the book, movie, manga, or anime to support your argument.
Option 2: The Absolute Worst FICTIONAL Character Think about a character who just didn’t cut it for you. Maybe they were boring, annoying, or made all the wrong choices. Write an essay explaining why you think this character is the absolute worst. Talk about their flaws, how they mess up the story, or just why they didn’t click with you. Use examples from the source material to support your point.
