Prompt: In Chapter 3 of The Outsiders, Cherry tells Ponyboy “if I see you in the hall at school or someplace and don't say hi, well, it's not personal or anything, but..." (Hinton, ).

Is Cherry right or wrong in saying this to Ponyboy? Explain what she means when she says this, and then argue your side. Consider the ramifications of your choice for BOTH Cherry and Ponyboy.
